Gilson Gray

• I advise clients in all areas of asset protection, succession and tax planning during lifetime and on death.

• I have a particular interest in legal technology and how this provides greater efficiency and cost savings to my clients.

• I advise clients in relation to the drafting of wills and trusts, dealing with issues arising from lack of capacity, providing assistance to business owners in relation to tax mitigation and succession and the administration of estates and trusts.

• As well as being a Notary Public, I am also a Member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

• Drafted Wills, Powers of Attorney and assisted with Estate Planning and Wealth Management. Exposure to high net worth clients.

• Assisted with drafting and negotiating commercial leases and missives, resulting in a strong position for the client.

• Adapted quickly to changes to land registration law, and helped team with compliance issues.

• Assisted with the sale of large estates, complex title examination, and drafted Dispositions and deeds of Servitude.

• Responsible for managing and administering estates worth up to £2.3m.

• Prepared C1 forms, Inheritance Tax forms and Executry Accounts.

• Advised on procedure to ‘set up’ a testamentary writing, which had not been witnessed properly, under Requirements of Writing (Scotland) Act 1995.
